When Your Dream Doesn't Go As Expected
During this Sunday’s online experience, Pastor Daniel told the story of Joseph and how not just his dreaming but also his determination made him a pioneer. He encouraged us to stay the course, always do what’s right, and to trust that God is in control.
What stood out to you from Sunday?
What's something you've always dreamed of doing? (Could be fun or could be serious)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
In what way could not leaning on our own understanding impact the way you dream?
Are most of your decisions made from what you think you can do or from what God has called you to do?
What do you think it looks like to acknowledge God in all your ways? Be specific.
What do you do when you step out to pursue your dreams but keep having detours?
What are some thoughts and feelings you have when you run into roadblocks?
How do you know when it's time to stay the course or when it's time to adjust course?
What's one thing you can work on this week to take a step towards the future God has for you?
Jesus, help us lean on you when our dreams in life become difficult. Amen.
