WHAT IS STARTING POINT?

Starting Point is the on-ramp for discipleship at Better Life Church. It replaces Life Track and refocuses everything we do around making healthy disciples who live out their faith every day.

Starting Point isn’t just a class — it’s a foundation for following Jesus in community and on mission.

OUR DISCIPLESHIP PATHWAY

At Better Life, we believe discipleship is not a destination — it’s a journey we walk together.

Our mission is simple: help people follow Jesus to experience a better life.

To live that out, we’ve clarified a Discipleship Pathway that shows how every believer grows and multiplies their faith.

Every believer is called to take these four steps as part of their discipleship journey:

Discover Jesus — Know Him personally and follow Him daily.
Find Community — Grow in relationships that strengthen your faith.
Make Disciples — Walk with others, helping them grow in obedience and maturity.
Build the Kingdom — Live sent in your home, workplace, and world — serving, giving, and leading so more people can know Jesus.

This pathway is circular, not linear. We don’t move past any of these steps — we live them on repeat.

We keep discovering Jesus, finding community, making disciples, and building the Kingdom because the work of discipleship never stops.

WHAT A HEALTHY DISCIPLE LOOKS LIKE

The goal of our pathway is not attendance — it’s transformation.

At Better Life, a healthy disciple is becoming a:

Faithful Follower — rooted in God’s Word, prayer, and daily obedience. (John 15:5)
Loving Neighbor — showing compassion and grace in every relationship. (Mark 12:31)
Bold Disciple — sharing the gospel and helping others grow in faith. (Matthew 28:19–20)
Kingdom Builder — serving, giving, and multiplying leaders and churches. (Ephesians 4:12–13)

Healthy disciples build healthy families, healthy teams, and a healthy church.
