Everyone is busy. We live in a busy world. In fact, we brag about being busy all the time. For instance, when you ask someone how they are doing, their normal reaction is, “I’m busy." But most of us are spinning our wheels and not gaining any traction. If you are busy all the time, eventually you are going to have some serious health issues. We must learn to prioritize. We must learn to say no to some good things so that we can say yes to the best things in our lives. When we repent and return to God, we can’t help but be on God’s agenda. As you begin to prioritize your life, make sure you prioritize it around God’s agenda. Put God first in everything you do. He wants to be first in your marriage, your finances, your parenting, your relationships, etc.
- Is God first in my life?
- Does my calendar reflect that God is first in my life?
- Does my checkbook reflect that God is first in my life?
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. (Psalm 139:23-24)
